GUEST BOOK

Kellye, I am sorry to hear of your dad's death. I was on his shift at Horace A. Ward's as a student from 80-81 along with Charles Nelson. Your family made me feel at home and treated me as family. Bill took me hunting and fishing, and introduced me to the fish camp in Covington, GA. Lucy the Bassett Hound was the family pet at the time. My wife and I even spent the night at your house on our honeymoon on our way to Florida. Your family will never be forgotten with all the people your dad has helped over the years. He will be missed.

Having known and worked with Bill for 34 years he is truly 'one of a kind.' His humor is unsurpassed, I also had the pleasure of seeiong his and Bob's dancing ability. His jokes, stories and humor were enjoyed by eryone around him. In his profession he was always kind and compassionate and I learned a lot being on a shift with him. He left a lasting impression on both me and my famiy. Kellye you had a great dad who was very proud of you. I will miss him and am thankful for the memories he has left.

- Charles Nelson, McDonough, GA

Bill was the best neighbor someone could ask for. He was the type of person who would always take time to offer a warm word or a humorous story. He was the guy who always made you think, 'man, I need to mow my grass', since his always set the standard I swear I saw him out there on his John Deere every other day. He was the defender, the 'Trapper Jack', of our cul-de-sac against the lawn devastating armadillo invasion. He also loved to spoil my Labrador Retrievers past and present in his driveway with treats of milk bones which I didn't have the heart to tell him allowed them to break the boundary training my wife and I worked to enforce. He was a kind man, and certainly a proud father. Since Bill was a Navy veteran, and I am a soldier in the Army, he and I shared a camaraderie and many a sunny conversation in the 'pleasant' Georgia summers...sweating and swatting sant gnats. He will be missed... Fair winds and following sea's, Bill.

- Andy Goforth, Bloomingdale, GA
